Discover the Best Qantas Classic Reward Flight Availability in December 2023

Looking to use up your Qantas points and know the routes with the best classic reward flight availability in December? You’ve come to the right spot! We’ve checked the Qantas website to find the top reward options for December.

If there’s one month of the year you don’t want to rely on using reward points… it would be December! Airlines know for certain that people are going to travel particularly in late December so there is no reason to offer reward seats when people are forced to pay with cash. Saying that, let’s explore what’s available!

Please note that while I’ve focused on Sydney, the search also includes flights from nearby cities like Melbourne and Brisbane, with similar availability.

Classic Reward Flight Availability – Sydney to Queenstown:

Business class availability to Japan early in the month. If you don’t mind going early then flights coming home are available too! Could be an option.

Classic Reward Flight Availability – Sydney to Los Angeles:

If you don’t mind spending 15hrs in Economy… a US trip may actually be your best bet. Plenty of seats to/from USA in economy over most dates in December. No premium cabins with availability though!

Flight Availability – Sydney to Hong Kong:

HK

Last month getting to/from H.K was one of the easiest routes. Availability getting to H.K has dried up significantly with students returning home after their studies. Getting back home from H.K is ok but a full return trip is tricky.

Flight Availability – Sydney to Dubai:

Dubai

Very limited availability… getting home is even worse… Dubai is not a great option.

Classic Reward Flight Availability – Sydney to Fiji:

Fiji

A big decrease in availability from last month but still possible. Getting home is fairly easy with plenty of availability.

Classic Reward Flight Availability – Sydney to Taipei:

Taipei

Another route that is popular for students returning home after studies is Taiwan…. very poor availability getting to Taipei… Getting home from Taipei is wide open though with plenty of seats.
